The lives of people like Hemingway AND Singer are so inspirational, because they are DOERS. They are DOERS of things. Their lives are wrapped up in historical events for just that reason. I have not read this book, but I feel that I might do so now.

I hate suicide, because I don’t like the giving up aspect of that path. It is just TOO tempting and by taking it, we lure others down the path…just my opinion of course, but it is one reason why I have stayed away from too much Hemingway biographical stuff. Maybe I am afraid I will be lured down the path. hmm?
