Sadly I know too much about this part of life in America and likely I will learn more as I have now lived more than half a century. In any case, a question has nagged me for many years. I once asked about the hip replacement of a relative that had been cremated and I was told that it was “discarded” as all such things are. As usual too much experience and too smart for my own good I have been nagged by the idea that I have had a number of teeth crowned with gold because it is more malleable than porcelain. What happens to the GOLD in people’s teeth when they get cremated? If you tell me it gets “discarded”, well I will doubt that very seriously…it seems to me that this is an ugly little secret…tips for the burners of bodies in America?
