ONTV!!!! I loved the first PayTV model. Pay a monthly subscription fee and the channel uses that revenue to pay its employees and buy content, so that there is no need for advertising. Only Netflix still adheres to this, though Net Neutrality changes may make their model obsolete as well unless they pay for their own “fastlane” infrastructure, which may require more revenue and then lead to even advertising there. I am mortified today that “pay TV” just means I pay for more channels that have MORE commercials than the original broadcast station had in the old TV model.
