Nothing was made more clear to me by my grandfather who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. There are no heroes or glory for soldiers in war only for generals and politicians. All heroes are cowards and all cowards are heroes in the face of the HELL that is war. It will depend on the moment and the POV whether you are a hero or a coward, but you are ALWAYS the victim!
