interestingly when I visualize numbers in systems other than base 10, there is a little subscript there defining the base…in my minds eye. The numbers one through ten for example are not actually words for me but rather quantities. There is some pattern of "rocks" in my minds-eye which represents these numbers. The name of the pattern (eight) or (six) or (two) remains the same even if the representation 10(8) 1000(2) 8(16) I put the base in () because I could not do the subscript but in any case all of those "strings of characters" represents the number 8 to me. Eight is always eight is always eight because it is a quantity for me. Additionally, I see the number 8 in its most basic form as a pattern of dots representing the quantity of 8. Your system would complicate things ...for me anyway
