Ever since I read the Republic and Plato’s admiration of the philosopher kings, I have suspected both of them to be authoritarians. Aristotle’s pupil trying to conquer the world doesn’t help change that suspicion either. Thanks for pointing out that Socrates is actually associated with an anti-democracy crowd.
