Darkness Came Knocking

Darkness came knocking.

Darkness came talking.

I went to the door.

I was chilled to the core.

Darkness whispered and threatened.

Darkness claimed demons beckoned.

Darkness gave an evil stare.

I mean-mugged a glare.

Darkness wanted me to cower.

I knew well the dark power.

None wield the dark might

like those who chose the light.

Only darkness here.

Nothing really to fear.

Nothing came to call.

Nothing there after all.
